The Six Sigma quality management concept refers to a systematic procedure to assure defined quality standards in all areas of corporate activity. The aim is to identify defects in the value chain as early as possible and to eliminate their causes. Historically, the tools and methods have been structured in different training levels, the names of which – Six Sigma Yellow Belt, Green Belt and Black Belt – are borrowed from Japanese judo. The highest training level is Six Sigma Master Black Belt.

Professional Six Sigma training

We offer in-depth training in all Six Sigma belts – including the Six Sigma Champion. You will learn about all the Six Sigma tools, starting with an instructive talk by the trainer and followed by a chance to put what you have learnt into practice using real-life examples. In the process, you will be using some very user-friendly software that has been specifically developed for Six Sigma tools.

Many years of experience, well-established methodological expertise, training programs and documentation designed to instruct, and time for customized, individual training sessions with practical examples from the industrial and service sectors will all result in a successful transfer of knowledge to all the participants in the training. The aim is clear: It should be possible for the participants to immediately and successfully deploy and implement the methods learnt in their respective areas of application.

How we work:
At the start of a Six Sigma training program, we arrange a free preliminary meeting with the aim of filling in the detail of your specific requirements for your business processes. Individuality is more important than, say, a stubborn insistence on learning to use standardized or normative tools. For the trainer, an important element of the preliminary discussions consists in introducing Six Sigma philosophy, along with the objectives, method, benefits and associated costs.

The second step:
If a Six Sigma training program is going to be successful and of immediate use, it’s extremely important, even before the start of the training program, for Green Belt and Black Belt candidates to work with the management or department heads to define some ambitious Six Sigma projects. Six Sigma projects should be assessed in monetary terms and their objectives formalized. In general, projects for trainee Green Belts are defined with a savings potential of about € 30,000 (per year going forward). The significantly more costly projects for future Black Belt candidates should pave the way to a savings potential of about € 100,000 (per year going forward).

The third and fourth steps:
The third step is the professional Six Sigma training program that includes a sufficient number of real-life issues and examples. After the training program is completed, the participants will bring the Six Sigma projects they have previously defined to a successful conclusion. During the fourth and last phase, the trainer can, upon request, take on a supporting role. However, the trainer is obligated to assess the written final tests and issue certificates. If the customer wishes, selected Six Sigma projects can be submitted as entries for the German Six Sigma Awards.
