Systems and components that directly influence safety, approval and functions require heightened diligence. For this purpose, the VDA defined special features in 2011 and correctly assigns special importance to FMEA activities in identification, safeguarding and verification. In the FMEA Special, participants from product and process development, production, assembly, quality planning and project management as well as FMEA moderators learn to understand the VDA concept and apply it to their practice.
